Multi Column Distillation Plant:
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR MULTI COLUMN DISTILLATION PLANT IGPE make M. C. D. P. Is based on FINN AQUA design. Organic, Bacterial and impurities can be reliably removed only by distillation. The basic operation consists of continuous passing of boiler steam and D. M. Water through specially designed columns where pure steam is produced. This pure steam in turn preheats the feed water and produces pure steam getting it self condensed to distilled water. Due to this multi - effect, optimum use of the heat is guaranteed and hence as much as 75 percent approximately energy is saved as compared to conventional method. All the contact parts including pump, piping, fittings, seamless tubes are highly polished or electro-polished internally to 0.8 Ra to prevent scaling for a long period and made out of stainless steel confirming to AISI 316 or AISI 316 L. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS - Boiler Load - 24 KW Distillate Temp. - Above 900 Degree Centigrade Conductivity of distillate - Less than 1 micromhos per cm. Feed Water - Demineralised water with conductivity 5 Micromhos per cm Hardness should not be more than 90 ppm Ca CO3. Cooling Water - Normal tap water with hardness not more than 90 ppm Ca CO3. Boiler Steam - Dry free from oil droplets and other Impurities at minimum 3 Kg per cm 2 Pump Load - 3 KW. The Multi Column Distillation Plant consists of the following - 1. S. S or M. S. Tubular Stand. 2. Surge Tank. 3. Multistage pump 4. Cooling Water Pump. 5. Feed Water and Cooling water line. 6. Cooler. 7. Heat Exchanger - I. 8. Heat Exchanger - II, III &IV. 9. Header. 10. Control Panel.
